Your home will be the most expensive and important purchases you will ever make, but oddly to say, there's no money-back guarantee or return policy if you're not satisfied with your recently purchased home unlike the guarantee a buyer receives with most other purchases. Buyer beware, once you buy a home, you're on your own to maintain it, repair it, anticipate problems and pay the bills. This is why it's best to know as much as you can about potential problems before you make the commitment to buy.

Our goal is to fairly and accurately report on the condition of the home.  Our intention is not to “nitpick,” nor do we feel compelled to find problems to justify our existence. We want to provide a real sense of value by educating the client about the home there about to purchase.

Our home inspections typically take 2.5 to 3 hours from top to bottom which are all based on the Nachi Standards of Practice. We encourage our clients to follow us through the home during the inspection.  Most people can point out obvious deficiency in a home but the question is can you point out the potential problems that will only occur over time. Correcting these concerns promptly will save you $$$$ down the road.

The exterior of the house is our normal starting point.  We go up on the roof and then proceed around the outside of the home.  From there, we move to the basement and/or crawl-space to examine the major systems of the house.  Included are the structure, the heating and air conditioning systems, the electrical service, plumbing, and so on.

After completing our work in the basement, we go through the rest of the house.  We test all of the plumbing fixtures, operate windows and doors, look under sinks, in the closets and go up into the attic.  We do nodestructive or invasive testing.  We consider alarms and security systems to be a private matter and do not test these.

Our company believes in being professional and we are sensitive to the privacy of homeowners and respect their property.  We strive to leave things exactly as we found them and, yes, we take off our shoes at the front door.
